FINALLY, I decided on the border for this mennonite quilt. I put a very small green border on both sides of the zig zag border along with a green binding. I didn't like the way the corners were turning out so I put a red cornerstone in there. It is quilted with a baptist fan pattern which ties all of the colors together. I am happy with the end result. It is such a bright and happy quilt and I am happy it is finished.

Lorre, this one is so beautiful, I love your zigzag border, it adds an extra kick to the quilt
oups, that reminds me of mine, still not finished, I know, lazy lazy girl
but I have to confess, quite some projects on the way and not enough time for sewing at the moment

Lorre,
I really do love this Mennonite quilt pattern- yours is gorgeous- you found the perfect border for it too.
Your Carolina Crossroads is very pretty and beautifully quilted. You have been one busy bee to complete these pieces.
The pottery is wonderful- it looks like you had lots of fun with your family choosing these pieces.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilts.

That is truly exquisite! I love the quilting texture that you can see in the first photo - and the border! Oh the border! Is that a fabric - or the most amazing fussy cut piecing I've ever seen :-0 Beautiful!
