I have been very busy with the new year but, unfortunately, it hasn't been a lot of quilting stuff.
We traveled to Idaho to spend Christmas with the inlaws in the new guest house. We completed the guest house this summer and the inlaws have moved in and made it their new home. They are so comfortable there and it will be nice when we can start on the other home in a few years (a little closer to retirement).
I have been busy decorating the house, painting, new window coverings, and of course I need to make a new bed quilt and all of the trimmings as well. I have gone bold with the colors in the bedroom/bathroom. There are four colors: deep chocolate brown, dark terracotta, dark gold and a deep green. Wow, it is amazing. My new bed quilt I am making if for the Sturbridge Harvest line and I can't wait to get it done.
My son was home from Belgium for one month and we also had a nephew visit for two weeks. When your routine is disrupted, sewing seems to take a back seat.
I will post some pictures of some of my small accomplishments soon.
